Our recommendation is 1-3 days prior to an event. For brides, our recommendation is 2-3 days prior to the wedding.
-
The spray tan will last approximately 7 days.
-
Once sprayed, there will be an immediate bronzed look produced by the bronzer in the tanning solution. The tan will develop over the next 24 hours. At this time, you will darken about 2 shades which will decrease a level after the bronzing layer has been rinsed off.
-
Both the Classic and Express spray tan take 24 hours to fully develop. There is some flexibility as to when the bronzing layer is rinsed off with the Classic spray tan. The bronzing layer with an Express spray tan is rinsed off within 3-5 hours; making it a great option for same day events. There will be almost no color after rinsing the bronzing layer off however it does still take 24 hours to fully develop.

DHA isn't thought to go beyond the outer layer of skin and therefore isn't absorbed into the body and can't harm your baby. However, there is a potential risk of having an allergic reaction to the tanning solution. Doctor recommendation will be required.
-
To achieve best results, the use of hydrating oils like coconut, grapeseed and almond multiple days in advance of the appointment is highly recommended.
-
No! Spray tanning will not permanently affect a tattoo. A spray tan over a tattoo will appear like a normal tan from the sun. Avoid spray tanning a few days prior to getting a new tattoo and always allow your tattoo to completely heal before spray tanning.
-
No! Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen while spending time outdoors to protect your skin.
-
Based on your individual skin tone, your skin will develop to it’s own individual color.
-
Spray tanning is an excellent choice for people with very fair skin (Fitzpatrick skin type I) who will burn from exposure to natural sunlight and UV rays in tanning beds & booths. Although quite rare, an extremely fair person may be DHA resistant.
-
An airbrush spray tan is applied by a qualified technician who has been trained to control the amount of solution applied to the hands, feet and other areas that need to appear more natural looking. Another factor that would be taken into consideration and adjusted by the technician at the time of application would be the time of year; skin will be dryer in winter months. Spray tanning in a booth has zero customization!
-
To protect the longevity of your spray tan, we recommend using a water resistant sunblock which will provide the necessary protection from the chemicals in a swimming pool or jacuzzi. In addition, the use of a tan extender is recommended which will help replenish your skin’s moisture, nutrients and vitamins.
-
Tanning solutions are water soluble which means any residue left on clothing will be washed off and will not cause staining. No solution residue should be seen on clothing after the first rinse of the spray tan.
-
Tan lines from natural sunlight can be covered up by approximately 70-80%. The width and shade difference between the tan lines and your natural skin tone will determine results.
-
No! Tanning solutions now employ odor inhibitors which eliminate any smell.
